Scoring: Ten points per capture.
Objective: Standard CTF but the flag is up high. Expert TF players only. Grab it by either concing, rocket jumping, grenade jumping or climbing the scaffolding. When you get it, bring it back to your Sniper Deck. Run over your teams icon to capture it.

Other Notes: Dropped flags return after 60 seconds. There is one grenade supply in each base, at the far side of the flag area.

Highlander, from clan 187, has taken a mix of concing skills and classic CTF gameplay, and produced, as the tittle suggests, a map where the flag is suspended in the air.

The concept of this map is fairly simple; you need to be able to do some sort of assisted jump (rocket/conc/grenade) OR take the time to climb the scaffolding - running the risk of being killed very easily as you are litterly a walking target.

Apart from the central crossing which is much the same as well, minus the water, high_flag has only one other area in each base, where the flag resides, making the map very small and very defendable.

Suggested Defence setup:
1 x NG in FR
1 x HW in FR
2 x Soldier, one each side of front door

Suggested Offence setup:
1 x scout
1 x soldier
2 x medic

Being a small map you could afford to run a soldier, as it is very simple to rocket jump and grab the flag to move it from its air-space.

Some other maps also made by Highlander include - High Security League, Debaser.

its a 5v5 map. 3 Def and 2 offy, thats wot it was made for and it works really well for that. Ive played it in 7v7 abit too, was not to bad there

4v4 is going to be mad and hard to hold for DEF since the extra offy. But still be fun....

It's played 8v8 way more than 5v5.
Why would someone from 187 make a map designed for 5v5?

literally* not 'litterly' for the author of the map review.

I enjoy watching this map 8v8... hectic.
Change is inevitable... except from a vending machine.
