"Hi guys. Some of you may know I've been working on this for quite awhile and its now ready to be shown!

I "purchased" sony vegas 8.0 about 5 months ago and started working on making a movie, from there I worked my way through techniques and editing tools that brought me to the final product here today. I've had this project on my PC for a good 4 months and have been subbing out footage/fixing up little mistakes here and there just to make it a little bit better and I think I've done a great job. Its my first video and I have made quite a few mistakes that are irreversable which kind of sucks.

Mistake #1 - recorded at a fucking high resolution (1600x1200) because I stupidly thought the bigger the better and did not think about the effect it would have on its file size.

Yes, the movies pretty fucking huge. It was 10 minutes long, and I talked to Seeker (the editor of spadebox movie) and he said even with a great x264 codec, I would be looking at ~450mb. With this in mind I decided to trim final credits and cut the movie down to 8 minutes, pushing it down to a easy 390mb, thankfully under the 400mb bar phew!!

Mistake #2 - I didn't record frames in windowed mode, I still don't know what effect this has but apparently its a mistake o.O

Crazy Pointless Facts
-Have started from scratch 3 times because I didn't like it
-Have had to struggle by transferring files from on PC to another, yes I purchased a new PC while undergoing this beast
-Have accidently uninstalled network drivers while trying to free up space in disk management, I only have a 300gb HDD >_>
-Footage in this vid is from about 10-12 scrims ranging from back in the beginning on nGR tourny, all the way to last week
-Delibrately didn't put any medic footage because everything a medic does is wrong and would rather watch grass grow.

At this stage I have only uploaded it to a HQ streaming website for you guys to watch, I will update with more mirrors/download links for you as the week goes on.

Well done man, could see you spent a lot of effort on this video, especially with so much editing.

Lots of syncing which I love.

Did you record this at max graphics settings? (16x anti alias, etc...) Don't get me wrong here, I *believe* this video could look a lot better with those max settings. (e.g. Reptile's avi)

The spies actions are pretty nice. Uncloaking at overlooked positions.

The zooming in on player's nick is a lil harsh on them I thought though your main intention was to show that your players killed the enemy. Guess there's no other choices eh?

haha, thanks a lot man. Yeah I recorded with high settings, not too sure if they were highest as recording clips gets very tedious and I end up just recording quickly and can't wait to get that clip compiled in virtualdub, then do some nasty ass editing in vegas :P I think the quality loss came into play in the encoding business where I failed quite hard I'll definately suss it for the next

I really liked this, some nice shots and some cool spy footage, and the non zoomed sniper hit made me smile. Only complaint I had was the first song (after the intro), heard it to many times. Also liked the simple editing, reminds me of good ol' fashioned TFC vids.
