Welcome to all continuing ozfortress Ladder teams!

Round 18 fixtures will be delayed by one week while division/team adjustments are made due to the Winter League.

Match organisation/discussion threads will be posted Thursday July 9.

The ladder will then progress normally and uninterrupted with new fixtures every fortnight.

Please note that playing in the ladder excludes you participating in the ozfortress Winter League. The ozfortress Ladder is designed for teams who prefer to more casual pace and atmosphere of the ladder, and it allows new teams to join at the start of any round.

No action is required to continue participation in the ladder. It will be assumed that the teams who do not sign up to the ozfortress Winter League are continuing in the ladder.

OnionS is currently taking a well-deserved break from running the ladder. If you have any questions please feel free to post here, contact me on irc, or add me to steam friends.

Is a team allowed to join winter league halfway through?

edit: The team would be in the ozfl ladder, and then join the winter league, thus ceasing their involvement in the ozfl ladder

no, you can't join the winter league after signups have closed.

Alrighty, what about when OWL ends can a team then drop into OZFL before the next season? (The OSL Ozfortress Summer league perchance )

Just a quick question of curiosity, anybody know what teams are thinking of sticking with the ladder, or might be joining it?

I ask cos my clan is intending to enter the ladder as it suits our casual focus; however it'll be dissapointing if it only consisted of a handful of teams.

Hopefully some of the clans exclusive to Game Arena ladder might hop across =)

very hard to give you even a rough idea, as there are many teams coming back for ozfwl.

however, a change from my original post that says new fixtures will be posted this thursday. i'm gonna push that back one more week (thursday 16/7) to let the dust settle with the ozfwl signups and ensure that teams not participating in ozfwl can be included in the new round's fixtures for the ladder.

the ozfwl teams/fixtures are due to be posted monday 13/7, so i made a mistake with scheduling the new ladder rounds before ozfwl had been consolidated.

my apologies for teams waiting on the new round beginning this thursday. just give me one more week

Thanks.

I think the extra week would be good actually - give me the time to decide whether entering the ladder would be a viable decision.

Aids my prediction would be there still will be plenty of teams in the regular ozfl ladder for a good competition although it will probably be a single ladder with no divs. There might be some teams that get knocked back from OWL and maybe forced to go into the ozfl ladder. Then there might be some teams that get scratched from OWL during the season. For those that think the ladder will be severely diminished I think your fears wont be realised. Just a guess but we'll see
